The Kadish Center for Morality, Law
& Public Affairs welcomes you to attend the 2013 Kadish
Lecture with Elizabeth Anderson, Professor of Philosophy
and Women’s Studies at the University of Michigan. The lecture
will take place on Thursday, February 21, 2013 from 4:00–6:00
pm.
Prof. Anderson will present her paper "The Social
Epistemology of Morality: Learning from the Forgotten History
of the Abolition of Slavery" (attached here).
Attendees will be presumed to have read the paper prior to the
event.
Our main speaker will be joined by commentators
David Copp, Professor of Philosophy at UC Davis, and Thomas
Laqueur, Professor of History at UC Berkeley.
